Honors for Diversity Enhancement
Posted: 2009-06-11 11:50:00
The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business has named our company its Most Outstanding Corporation for Diversity Enhancement for 2009.
Faculty and student leaders within the business school made the nominations, based on:
* effective outreach to diverse students by contributing to academic success through scholarships, sponsorships, classroom involvement and other activities;
* help to develop the professional advancement of diverse students through internships, mentorships, recruitment and other career readiness activities.
"Being selected by the students and faculty is an honor," said Tim Harman, senior staffing specialist, College Relations. "The environment of diversity recruitment is highly competitive regardless of the economic conditions. Winning this award is a tribute to each and every employee who takes time to share our Ashland story with college students."
Participation with Ohio State’s Office of Minority Services and student groups is a part of our overall talent management and diversity strategy.
"Earning this award puts us in a good position. We will continue to develop our global corporate culture to further promote diversity," said Dwight King, director, Talent Management.
The award was presented at the eighth annual Fisher College of Business Diversity Awards Banquet on May 26. |
